Veteran Ready Business Recognition (VRBR) Program
The Veteran Ready Business Recognition (VRBR) program seeks to recognize all businesses, not only veteran-owned, in Tennessee that are intentional in their efforts to recruit, hire, and retain our Service Members, Veterans, and their families (SMVF).
VRBR Requirements by Level
Bronze Level:
- Employment of at least one SMVFs and ESGR- National Guard and Reservist.
- Accept military experience & skills for position.
- Relay to SMVFs benefits & external programs.
- List means of posting jobs that target SMVFs.
Silver Level:
- Include SMVFs in hiring or onboarding process.
- Participate in SMVFs targeted hiring events.
- Veteran Retention Program; mentorship/ resource groups.
- Educate SMVFs about benefits, resources & programs.
- Invite Veteran centric organizations into business.
Gold Level:
- SMVFs Position on staff to focus on outreach & retention.
- Hiring and retention programs for SMVFs spouses.
- Online military skills translator for SMVFs.
- On the job training for SMVFs for higher level of employment.
