Journey Resurrection Rocks the Rock Creek Concert Series

Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that on Friday night, September 15, 7:00pm Frazier McEwen Park, Journey Resurrection will perform a free concert as part of the Rock Creek Concert Series. The event is sponsored by Bud Lite and is free to the public, and full concessions will be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.

The Journey tribute band from Nashville will present an enhanced live production that has been designed to re-create the look and feel of Journey tours from the 1980’s, featuring Steve Perry.

“The last time they played, nearly 1,000 people enjoyed the music of Journey Resurrection,” said Mayor Lane Curlee. “The lighting, sound, food and music were just as good as any top music venue in a large city. Get there early to get a good spot for the entire family.”

This will be the band’s third performance in the Tullahoma.

“There will be something for all Journey fans to enjoy,” said Director of Parks and Recreation, Kurt Glick. “Many people are excited about Journey Resurrection’s return, and we want to encourage everyone to come out and enjoy this event sponsored by Bud Lite. Journey Resurrection will play the band’s well-known hits, such as Don’t Stop Believin , Open Arms and Faithfully.”

The band is made up of a list of talented musicians, Ryan Christopher (Steve Perry), George Hawkins, Jr (Bass), Jim Handley (Drums-actually worked with Journey and uses Journey drum kit), Vic White (Keyboards) and Rich Eckhardt (Guitar).
