Meet the President

Meet the Chamber President

Our 27th Annual Chamber Classic Golf Tournament sponsored by American City Bank hosted 28 teams and a special visitor.  Cubic carded a sizzling -19 under 53 to take the Championship Flight.  The foursome composed of Sean Cahill, Ross Hatfield, JR Raines, and Martin Schmit won some cool new golf bags courtesy of L&H Distributing.  Team Viam took second place, with Stan McNabb capturing third place in the Championship flight, with both teams shooting 58s.

2nd Flight winners were Network Technology first place, Daves Culbertson Funeral Home second, and Citizens Tri-County Bank third.  In the 3rd flight, American City Bank won first place with Zellus Marketing and Russell Barnett Automotive placing second and third respectively.

Closest to the pin winners were Tommy Anderton, Lynn Vantola, and Derek Cates.  Jacque Crossland blasted the longest drive and Nick Fraley hit the straightest drive.  All winners were awarded cash prizes.

Former Alabama Crimson Tide and Philadelphia Eagle running back Siran Stacy also played. Siran scored 4 TDs and had 317 yards total offense in the 1989 game versus Tennessee.

Lakewood Golf & Country Club had the course in great shape and we are thankful for our sponsors, volunteers and the golf committee who worked so hard to make this scramble a fun time!  Planning is underway now for a follow up “Night Glow In The Dark” 9-hole scramble event in the Fall, more information to come soon.
