Young Tullahoma professionals will be celebrated later this month during the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural Emerging Leaders Awards Luncheon.

Emerging Leaders (EL) is a 3-year old Chamber program that provides young professionals with a platform to partner with area business and community leaders to develop leadership skills and build strong network connections.

The program’s mission is to “Engage, Educate and Empower” the future leaders of the community. Throughout the year, EL members partner with local business mentors to participate in a variety of programs, networking events and professional development seminars that can help them to become more competitive in the business arena.

The Rising Stars MVP Awards, a new addition to the program, are designed “to salute and applaud our community’s young professionals under the age of 40 for significant accomplishments in their chosen professional field as well as their commitment and contribution to the community.”

“Tullahoma is very fortunate to have so many young professionals leading the way in our community,” said committee co-chair Michelle Martin. According to Martin, nominees must be between the ages of 25 and 40 and have completed at least two years in their current profession.

The nomination deadline is Friday, Nov. 18.

The 2016 Emerging Leaders Award Luncheon, sponsored by Southern Community Bank, will be held at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Lakewood Golf and Country Club. Tickets, which include lunch, are $20 and reservations must be made by Wednesday, Nov. 23. Click here to RSVP!
